ABSTRACT

In this text, we would like to register and reflect on the experience and learning of a lifetime with Professor Eneida Souza in our few years together in the Postgraduate Program in Literature at the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ). Would talking about her commitment to consolidating the Program be a look at her institutional performance or paying attention to yet another legacy of her criticism? In the UFSJ Literature Program, Eneida, with her cosmopolitanism and her reading, invited criticism and affection in a city in the interior of Minas Gerais that insisted on building a postgraduate course. Talking about Eneida and her role in this construction of the public university is talking about the literary critic Eneida, who never separated criticism from life, affirming the urgency of uniting these two ends of her critical work.
