This paper aims to share the theoretical and methodological axes which are guiding an ongoing academic cooperation project called: (Auto)biographic research, teaching and professionalization. This project is realized by research groups of Education graduation programs of three Brazilian universities (UNEB, UFRN and USP) which are collaborating through various activities centered upon autobiographic narratives as teaching practices and research method. We first present a panorama of autobiographic research, situating the place and role of research, teaching, and graduate studies. We then discuss the main historical marks of teachers' professionalization in Brazil. Finally, we comment the main axes of research, their objectives and potentialities as autobiographical sources.
