Critical theory and educational theories: an analysis of the discourse on education

This article discusses society and education based on the critical theory that, especially in the thinking of T. W. Adorno, postulates the interpretation and transformation of society and of the knowledge produced by it as basic premises of liberating education. A criticism of positivism and the perception of the contradictions between culture and administration are instruments for analyzing not only constructivism, but also for the discussion on the democratization of education and the formulations that establish immediate connections between interpersonal relations and democracy.
