Abstract:

The author examines the three watersheds (Philosophical, scientific, and technical) in pedagogy in order to introduce their application to the medical education process. He then analyzes the materialist and humanist schools of pedagogical thinking, as well as the behaviorist, Gestalt, and constructivist theories of learning. The technical watershed, represented by didactics, is examined trough transition from the traditional position to contemporary experience.
