The authors report some important social-cultural and economical aspects, which were obtained by a questionnaire applied to 317 first term students coursing the discipline: "Introduction to Nursing Discipline" and regularly joined at eight (8) nursing auxiliaries schools in the city of São Paulo. The data here obtained made possible to identify relevant personal information, related to its social status, schooling and economical situation.
