This is a reflective article, which aims to discuss the concept of vulnerability and its implications for clinical nursing. Were discussed theoretical concept and how this fits into the area of health as possible to prevent AIDS. We realized that to understand the forms of illness of the subjects, we must understand them as well as biological aspects and take into account cultural, psychological, socio-economic and political, that is, any kind of situation which results in susceptibility to illness. We propose the use of the concept of vulnerability as a useful tool in nursing consultation. This should be at an opportune time for an exchange of knowledge and narrowing of the ties.
