This article presents a theoretical reflection on the role of therapeutic workshops in the field of mental health. We believe that new places offered to mental illness in contemporary society allow for the production of new clinical tools. We thus take a critical look at the underlying idea of labor in therapeutic workshops, to present the idea of a workshop of idleness, which calls subjects into a space of freedom.
