The Acta Paulista de Enfermagem is indexed in SciELO

We are taking this opportunity to document our satisfaction and enthusiasm in receiving the notification that the Acta Paulista de Enfermagem has been evaluated, accepted, and indexed in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO).

The journal Editorial Board's efforts and enterprise, and the excellent work of the journal team members, were extremely important to achieve our goal of indexing the Acta Paulista de Enfermagem in SciELO. We want to acknowledge that support received from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Technological (CNPq) and from the Center for Health and Nursing Studies (Centro de Estudos em Saúde e Enfermagem (CESEn) were fundamental to achieving our goal.

SciELO is an electronic database of scientific journals on the health sciences from Latin American and Caribbean countries which is supported by the State of São Paulo Research Foundation⁽¹⁾ (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) in agreement with the Latin American and Caribbean Literature on the Health Sciences (LILACS) and the Brazilian Regional Medical Library (Biblioteca Regional de Medicina [BIREME]). SciELO Brazil covers literature published in Brazilian scientific journals. The main goal of the SciELO Brazil is to disseminate and facilitate access to publications of Brazilian scientists. SciELO Brazil provides free online access to full text of 127 specialized Brazilian journals and had become a significant resource for scholars and scientists from many Latin American countries.

According to a recent study ⁽²⁾ published in Science, the impact of publication in periodicals indexed in SciELO has doubled. We certainly met one of the main goals of the journal's Editorial Board and other team members ⁽³⁾ by having the Acta Paulista de Enfermagem indexed in SciELO.

Even though the review of potential publications continues to be challenging ⁽⁴⁾, we are committed to disseminate in each issue of the Acta Paulista de Enfermagem, the most valuable and reliable scientific information.
