ABSTRACT
This article analyzes the results of an investigation on the family-territorial educational relationship, the affiliation of people with the family social memory and their ancestry to the Mapuche historical-territorial collectivities. The theoretical framework considers the concepts of social memory, historical collectivity and kimeltuwün. The methodology is analytical descriptive in the framework of educational research. The results make explicit a social and cultural perspective in the construction of knowledge from the intersubjectivity of parents and kimche [wise man]. The analysis of the results is carried out based on two dimensions: current characteristics of Mapuche education and pedagogical objectives of the kimeltuwün educational action.
